ABOUT LEAH

Leah Huang is a Creative Business Strategist whose background is in Luxury Retail Management. One of the few Boston College (Carroll School of Management) grads who ended up in fashion, she had managed flagship retail businesses and wholesale partners with brands such as The Kooples, Maison Margiela, and Helmut Lang. Across her ten plus years of industry experience, Leah has worked at different capacities with major multi-brand retailers across the U.S.

In addition to traditional luxury businesses, she has also supported the growth of startup companies such as The Canvas Global, a platform hosting emerging, sustainable brands from around the world.

Leah left her corporate America career in 2021 and has since been focusing on her artistic practice, in addition to working with business consulting clients.

What Does She Know?

Leah’s experience extends to both stand alone boutiques as well as multi-brand stores, from which she accumulated insight of various corners of the fashion landscape, its demographic differentiation, and grassroots strategies which can be implemented by brands of any size to grow in market presence and sales.

Her numerous customer facing roles have shaped her understanding of the consumer psychology, which has translated to double digit growth in sales across multiple businesses Leah managed.

Having built, trained, and managed a diverse range of staffing structures, as well as working closely with Buying/Merchandising, Marketing, and C-Suite leadership, Leah’s strength lies in connecting the moving parts in front of and behind the scenes, to guide her clients toward a sustainable growth trajectory.

What Makes Leah Different?

Leah is a Creative Business Strategist because her approach lies in the principles of curiosity, less is more, and the human oriented process.

Being simultaneously a goal oriented thinker and a visual artist, her eye for detail and balance makes her astutely aware of the dynamics between product and customer, aspiration and demand, as well as the universal cyclicality that brands move through, with their customer base, product collections, and evolving market at large.

Her experience managing business operations, consumer centric expansion, and cross departmental / c-suite coordination gave her the know-how of achieving and exceeding goals. But it is married with her understanding of the intangible sensibilities that are intrinsic to the fashion world which makes her stand out as a problem solver, or perhaps - a problem transformer.
